Habitat - Futurism - Architecture - Archologies - Skyscrapers - Photography - Pagodas - Neon streets - Dark alleys

Sajo Zech
I am an urban street photographer based in South-East Asia (Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Continental China). After a career in journalism, I went back to the visual arts that were my first job. I love to depict the urban scene, the dark alleys, the backstreets, and the people living there, trying to find vivid colors where you usually expect to just see faded tonalities. I like to look for oppressing building ensembles, sources of noises and the places where the heart of the city really beats, to try to understand what the megapolis is really made of. My inspiration has always come from the cyberpunk universe, the movies, the books of Gibson, Sterling, Stephenson, and European artists like Enki Bilal; Guy Peellaert and many others.
